Pendragon takes home "Best of Show"

"Last week, the 2009 Indie Distribution Festival awarded prizes to one hundred and fifty of this year’s best independent pictures. Of the films recognized, Pendragon was one of five honored with a Best of Show.

“A tightly-crafted, action-filled epic set in Britain’s dark ages,” The Indie notes. “As the barbarian fleets descend on the coast, the people of Britain defend themselves and their faith. The film has stunning visuals and a powerful score.”"

If you haven't purchased the movie yet, you can do so at the Pendragon website!

Pendragon - Rolling once again...

“Lighting good…checking audio levels. Ok, camera speed, and…Action!”

"After a period of inactivity, the Burns Family Studios film crew is back in action. Not as much action as say, an epic sword fight, but filming again all the same. Last weekend, Aaron traveled down to ‘Studio B’ in Saint Louis to work on an electronic press kit with Chad and Nick."

Pendragon Soundtrack

The musical soundtrack of a film is very important and has the potential to make or break a film. It tells the audience what to feel and when. Personally I'm a big fan of movie soundtracks and the soundtrack for Pendragon is coming! You can read the blog post with all the details - here

Color Correction: Pendragon

Last year, while working on Pendragon one of my jobs was the color correction. Let me just say that I love doing color correction! Not much can compare to taking an "average" looking shot and turning it into something beautiful. Sometimes it takes a long time and sometimes its just a few tweaks.

I'm planning to write an article for my blog about the process and some step-by-steps of the color correction process for Pendragon using Apple Color, but that is still in the works. For now, I've put together a 4 minute video of before-&-afters from Pendragon. You can view it here on my website.

Pendragon DVD!!!

Unfinished Cover Art

"We spent an extra week making the sound on Pendragon absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately this means that we won’t be able to ship DVDs on Nov 20.

Nothing in the world can make up for the disappointment of not getting your Pendragon DVD immediately. To take the sting off, we are going to have a main actor autograph all disks (upon request) that are sold between November 20th and the date we receive the DVDs from the replicators. So if you want a signed copy, hurry up and order before we take deliveries in the first days of December!"

Pendragon!

Exciting news!! Wed. I fly out for the weekend to help film a scene for the Pendragon movie!

This is a project I have wanted to work on for quite a while, but my schedule has either been full or they haven't needed extra camera guys. I've been following the film's progress quite closely, and I was hoping to help on some of the shoots that they had scheduled for this year. However, other projects have crept in and again my schedule is full during the time they are filming.

Imagine my surprise when I heard that they are doing a weekend shoot the beginning of March and that they need a second cameraman. It is practically the only weekend for quite a while that will allow for me to take this trip. Our God is simply amazing!

Needless to say, I am slightly excited to have a chance to participate in the making of the Pendragon movie! Do be praying that all the production details will come together (weather, animals, actors) to make this shoot the best it can be.
