Interview with Aaron Burns

New Man eMagazine did an interview with Aaron Burns about the making of Pendragon. Having worked on the project I already knew most of the information, but it is rather informative! You can read the full article here.

Backyard ‘Braveheart’: How a family created a full-length epic film:
"When Aaron Burns and his family decided to make a family-friendly action movie as an alternative to the “junk” they found in Hollywood, they decided to dream big and trust God. Despite having almost no film experience, the Burns family finished their movie four years late. They call it Pendragon; and it’s an epic action film with a Christian heart, set in Britain’s Dark Ages. Imagine Braveheart crossed with Facing the Giants. We sat down with lead actor/co-writer/co-composer/co-set designer Aaron Burns to find out how one family could accomplish such a huge task."

Pendragon VFX

"Pendragon: Sword of His Father had over 270 effects shots in it. They were completed in about 56 days so there was certainly a lot of shots that were rushed through the process significantly. However, the majority of the shots turned out pretty decent and go fairly unnoticed. Since this kind of effects work fascinates me to no end I thought I would post just a little bit of a look into one of the shots that was in the film and how it was completed. The example shot I'll use is labeled B23 in the shots sequence." ~Ethan Ledden (VFX supervisor)

Is Global Warming a SCAM?

Fox News recently mentioned an article about global warming:

"The founder of the Weather Channel is ridiculing Al Gore over his calls for action on global climate change, saying in a column that global warming is a "hoax" and "bad science." John Coleman, now a weatherman at San Diego's KUSI, wrote on his station's Web site Wednesday that Gore refuses to acknowledge the faulty research on which the idea of global warming is based.

"I am totally convinced there is no scientific basis for any of it," Coleman wrote, describing the decades-old theory that increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere leads to global warming.

"Global Warming. It is the hoax. It is bad science. It is a high jacking of public policy. It is no joke. It is the greatest scam in history," Coleman wrote."

Pendragon Dove Review!

The goal of the Dove Foundation: To encourage and promote the creation, production, distribution and consumption of wholesome family entertainment.

"In 1991 The Dove Foundation began promoting family-friendly entertainment. Our standards and criteria are based on Judeo/Christian values, free from the pressure of commercial interests. We believe in a positive approach of commending high-quality, wholesome movies rather than condemning filmmakers for not meeting those standards."

You can read the review here!

I'd encourage you to buy the DVD or download it from Behemoth, if you haven't already!

ENN - Grant Kendrick

You may remember the Everyday News Network that was started by Vision Forum a couple of years ago. Thanks to Shad Eash, I came across this episode that was submitted in 2008. It's the Kendrick kids reporting on a new bunk bed they got for Christmas and the problems that have resulted. It's pretty cute, check it out here!
