Announcing the release of official trailer for the documentary project I have been working on, Captivated. The reponses from the test screenings have been overwhelmingly positive! Check out the trailer below and the new website! Oh, and if you like what you see, you can also pre-order.
"Everywhere we go we are surrounded by screens. Have we entered a techno utopia or a virtual prison? Should we be celebrating unreservedly or should we be cautious and skeptical? Is it the greatest leap in productivity or the biggest setback from the things most meaningful in life?
Has today's connectivity drawn us closer to one another or strangely more disjointed? Is our social experience richer and deeper or more shallow and artificial? Is it all of these things or none of them?
Discover insightful answers to these questions from media experts, church leaders, and inspiring individuals and families from across the country. Most importantly you'll discover how God's word addresses the unique media challenges we face today."
The Runner From Ravenshead is a great film for the entire family!! It won the "Audience Choice" award at the 2010 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival by a HUGE landslide, so if you haven't seen the movie yet I highly encourage you to go check into it! Content review info is available here.
Recently I was able to work in conjunction with Light Horse Advertising to create a new trailer for the Ravenshead movie...and here it is!
This is a new production by Submission Productions, LLC. The film is currently in pre-production, which may be surprising to see a promotional trailer of this magnitude and quality created at those early stages. This speaks of the extremely high quality that director Robert Cook is shooting for as the production moves forward.
Synopsis
ELEVENTH HOUR is the story of Rob Carson, a rogue FBI Agent stationed in Oklahoma City. Though Rob has a 'reputation' for doing his job, he lives on gut instincts that often run counter to agency policy—choosing paths other men avoid. During a botched arrest of Muslim drug dealers, his actions not only draw a racially charged smear campaign from the media, but set in motion events that may change the world. He is determined to redeem himself by capturing a potential terrorist cell, but keeps finding his path blocked by a Federal "Wall" and a system that is crippled by political correctness.
Meanwhile, behind Rob's professional bravado, a painful history hides in the shadows, poisoning his marriage and his attempts to relate to his daughter and father. His flawed efforts to reconcile with his past, and his unilateral decision to pursue the terrorists against the law, result in a downward spiral that circles toward disaster. Rob must find true redemption and choose to make the ultimate sacrifice — before the decision is made for him.
A new western film with an inspirational message about the power of forgiveness.
"Henry is a hard man, getting by in the old west the only way he knows how: robbing banks. After his latest heist goes wrong and his partners betray him and leave him for dead, Henry is surprised to find extraordinary kindness from a widow and her children. With the influence of this new family, Henry begins to question the choices he’s made in his life. Just when things begin to make sense again, it’s all ripped away from him when his old partners show up. Henry sets out to track down Marilyn’s killers and rescue the kidnapped children. Will he get the revenge he desires or finally find his Redemption?"
Everything can change in an instant ... and take a lifetime to unravel.
When Mac McDonald loses his son in an accident, the ensuing 17 years of bitterness and pain erodes his love for his family and leaves him angry with God ... and just about everyone else.
Mac's rage stonewalls his career in the police department and makes for a combustible situation when he's partnered with Sam Wright, a rising star on the force who happens to be a part-time pastor and a loving family man.
Mac's home life is as frightening as anything he encounters on the streets of Memphis. Money is tight and emotions run high as he constantly argues with his wife and his surviving son Blake, who is hanging with the wrong crowd and in danger of flunking out of school.
Sam Wright also never expected to be a police officer. He has a calling—to be a minister like his Grandpa George. But leading a small, start-up church doesn't always put enough food on the table for a young family, so Sam doubles as a police officer. With his new promotion to Sergeant, Sam starts questioning if his real calling might actually be police work rather than the pastorate.
Can Mac and Sam somehow join forces to help one another when it's impossible for either of them to look past their differences—especially the most obvious one?
Every day, we have the opportunity to rebuild relationships and heal deep wounds by extending and receiving God's grace. Offer THE GRACE CARD ... and never underestimate the power of God's love.
