The Lost Medallion - March 1st

The Lost Medallion is opening in theaters across the nation March 1st!

Check out the PluggedIn review from Focus on the Family, here.

Here is what a few people are saying about The Lost Medallion.

"As much as I've been encouraged by the growth of the Christian film "industry"over the last several years, it's been obvious that most films have been dramas targeting adults and occasionally teens. I've been silently hoping for an action adventure geared toward tweens. With "The Lost Medallion," I get my wish, while potentially thousands of young people get their very own "Indiana Jones"-ish big screen motion picture to boot. What's more, not only will they be entertained, they'll get a few strong spiritual nuggets to ponder as well."
Bob Waliszewski - Director, Plugged In

"The Lost Medallion was awesome."
Owen and Peter - Fans from Portland, Oregon

"The Lost Medallion is a wholesome movie that will take you back to a more innocent time but will keep you on the edge of your seat. My kids loved it and have watched it again and again. You'll be blessed by The Lost Medallion and I'm guessing that you will still be talking about it with friends and family for a long time after you leave the theater."
Alex Kendrick - Co Producer & Co Director of Courageous, Fireproof & Facing The Giants.

The Lost Medallion - In Theaters March 1st

An epic family movie event, The Lost Medallion features themes of friendship, teamwork and good overcoming evil, all while teaching kids the truth of their tremendous value.

"This is a film that every family should see...twice."
-Alex Kendrick

The film was written, directed and produced by bestselling author and owner of MeThinx Entertainment, Bill Muir (The Crossing, Invisible Enemies) and is based on a series of fictional novels of the same name, also written by Muir and released in 2011.  A brand new version of the novel, co-written by New York Times bestselling author Alex Kendrick , is slated to hit shelves in conjunction with the 2013 theatrical release.

The journey of The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone commences as Daniel Anderson (Kendrick) visits a foster home to drop off a donation and is quickly roped into telling the kids a story. Daniel tells the tale of Billy Stone (Billy Unger  Lab Rats on Disney XD, American Treasure, You Again)  and Allie (Sammi Hanratti - American Girl, A Christmas Carol), two 13-year-old friends who uncover a long-lost medallion and accidentally wish themselves back in time.

In order for Billy to save Allie's life, he must give up the lost medallion to the evil warlord, Cobra, (Dacascos) who rules the island and its people. Now, in order to retrieve the medallion and save the island people from slavery, Billy and Allie must work together with a young arrogant king (Jansen Panettiere - The Perfect Game), his best friend, and a wise old man (James Hong - Kung Fu Panda , ChinatownBlade Runner).  Together, this unlikely group will learn not only how to work together, but when they do, great things can be accomplished.

Kendrick, known for his passion and work with Sherwood Pictures, became involved in The Lost Medallion to help make a significant impact on children's lives.

The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone

...has been selected as a semi-finalist this year!

"When Daniel Anderson (Alex Kendrick) visits a foster home to drop off some donations is is quickly roped into telling the kids a story. The story he tells transitions into a heart-racing adventure of Billy Stone and Allie. These two teenage friends uncover a long-lost medallion and then accidentally wish themselves back in time. The only way for Billy to save Allie’s life is to surrender the lost medallion to the evil warlord, Cobra. The adventure to gain back the medallion sends the children jumping off waterfalls, climbing cliffs, zip-lining across canyons, hiding from warriors, and sneaking into the grand hall of Cobra himself. In the end they regain the medallion.

Daniel finishes his story to the foster children with the truth about their tremendous value to God, who loves them and created them."

Amazingly, the medallion ends up in Billy's hands and a spontaneous wish in a precarious situation takes Billy and his best friend Allie, back 200 years to what they realize is a very different Aumakua Island.

When Billy and his friends are not jumping off waterfalls, avoiding animal traps, crossing the ocean, sneaking through caves or escaping a prison they're facing their nemesis Cobra, who wants nothing more than for them all to disappear.

With no other way to get home, and the wellbeing of the entire island resting on his shoulders, Billy must discover the key to reclaiming the medallion and its tremendous power.
