Introducing Four Unforgettable Dramatic Adventures!

We were so Impressed! We originally bought this for our 11-year-old grandson, but wanted to review it first! My husband [and] I listened as we took a day trip a few hours away, and were riveted! Needless to say, we are keeping this one and ordering our grandson another!

Help a loving son render aid to his parents without falling prey to the love of money. Watch a little girl struggle between telling a lie and being punished by death for a crime she did not commit. For decades, radio dramas entertained and inspired Americans of all ages. From masked cowboys protecting the western plains, to savvy detectives matching wits with the most ingenious criminal minds of their day, radio’s “Golden Age” created exciting worlds in the minds’ eyes of millions.

Now, with the brand-new Lamplighter Theatre Radio Drama Collection, you can enjoy the best elements of classic radio drama combined with a distinctively Christian worldview.

These audio albums make the perfect companion to chore time, on car rides, during school breaks, or even on a “Family Night” gathered around the stereo in your living room — just like families used to do!

Each album contains 2 CDs and is approximately two hours long.

Lamplighter Radio Theatre

These incredible audio dramas have been an instant family hit...tuning in every week for each episode of these action packed and emotionally gripping stories!

"John Rhys-Davies is the host of Lamplighter Theatre, the voice you’ll hear at the beginning of each series, welcoming you Abington Falls, where Finnian Jones has a quirky little shop full of “more than you would expect.”"

Each story is comprised of 4-6 episodes, each approx. 30 minutes. So far they have produced...and aired 4 complete stories! Every week, beginning on Monday, you can visit their website and listen to the newest episode for free!

You can also listen to each new episode here on the ReelCast blog via the Lamplighter Theatre Player located in the sidebar.

This week marks the last chapter of their latest story, "The Captive." Next week will begin with Episode 1 of, "The Unexpected Return."

You can listen to the 60 second promo for "The Unexpected Return" below...

Lamplighter Theatre IS HERE!

A while back I posted info that Lamplighter was working on creating "Lamplighter Theater." Well, it is now here! "For twenty years our Lamplighter team has eagerly anticipated the creation of Lamplighter Theatre Audio Drama. We have prayed and planned while waiting for the Lord’s perfect timing. The time has now come."
I can't tell you how incredibly excited I am about this, I greatly enjoy radio drama and I really enjoy Lamplighter's books! They officially started broadcasting to radio stations in Sept, so this is really new stuff. They do have one finished album/"book" entitled "Sr. Malcom and the Missing Prince." Currently they are working on "The Basket of Flowers."

Of course, I have some links where you can get more info:
- You can hear the first episodes on this website. (I am assuming future episodes will be posted here though I'm not sure.)
- Lamplighter Radio Theatre Blog....and Official Website
- Visit the store

I found a place online where you can listen to their weekly broadcast of new episodes. It plays on Mondays @ 6pm ET.

...and "one more thing," according to this link, it looks like they might be venturing into the film making arena as well. I'll do my best to keep you posted!
