Wait Till It's Free - Documentary

Award-winning filmmaker makes the case for healthcare freedom

Colin Gunn (co-director of 'Indoctrination') is in production on 'Wait Till It's Free', an eye-opening documentary that examines the American healthcare crisis, looking at everything from the escalating cost of health insurance to the move towards universal government healthcare.

Gunn says, “This film offers practical solutions to the healthcare crisis, and it will be an effective tool to reach friends and neighbors with the truth about the socialized healthcare disaster.”

“This film is for anyone confused and concerned about their healthcare choices.”

“We are making this film because the American people don't know what's really going on,” he continues. Gunn says the film will provide doctors and patients with the facts about what's going on, how it's going to affect them, and what alternatives they have.

“At the end of the day,” Gunn says, “this is really all about freedom – healthcare freedom and religious freedom.”

Despite the havoc caused by government intervention in healthcare, Gunn says there is real hope, and solutions are forming. Among these are cash-only clinics, medical cost-sharing groups like Samaritan Ministries (a sponsor of the film), and charitable efforts to provide free healthcare for those who can’t afford it.

Colin is an award-winning writer/director/producer and accomplished animator. He is perhaps bestknown for co-directing/writing ‘IndoctriNation: Public Schools and the Decline of Christianity in America’, winner of Best Documentary at the 2012 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. Originally from Hamilton, Scotland, Gunn now lives in Waco, Texas, with his wife and eight children.

'Wait Till It’s Free' is due out in early 2014.

Beyond the Mask -  Composer

Award-winning composer Jurgen Beck was born in Germany in 1962, and began his musical journey early in life. His passion for music grew though training on the trumpet (Fluegelhorn), guitar, piano, and bass.

Growing up a country know for its legendary composers, Jurgen’s love for music found further expression though writing songs and lyrics for his band, which eventually resulted in a recording contract and concert tours. When Jurgen moved to Dallas, Texas in 1987 to continue his music studies at a Christian college, he began producing music for independent artists, developing his skills in music arrangement, recording, mixing, and mastering.

In 2008, Jurgen’s love for film music resulted in a natural transition from writing and producing music to writing for film. To prepare him for the unique challenges of film scoring, Jurgen studied composition and orchestration with internationally renowned composers Leon Willett and Stephen Hill. Since then, he has composed the score for over a dozen documentaries, TV episodes, shorts, and feature films.

Jurgen, his wife Shawn, their daughter Arianna, and their dogs, Molly and Gracie, reside in the city of Midlothian in northern Texas. Please join us in welcoming them to the Beyond the Mask team! You can check out some of Jurgen’s earlier work here.

Arrested in a federal raid when he was fifteen, and imprisoned for three years until his parole at eighteen, Brendan has found a relationship with God and with it he has turned his life around. Upon his release, he moves in with a new foster family and starts attending high school in an affluent suburb near the city where he grew up. Indescribable DVD!

This a fun film with a good message. A lot of my filmmaker friends worked on this one and I highly recommend it!! It's the first feature-length film this group has produced, so it's not without its weaknesses and flaws but it has a lot of heart in the story and I enjoyed it!

Dove "Family Approved" - Read the Review

The Lost Medallion - March 1st

The Lost Medallion is opening in theaters across the nation March 1st!

Check out the PluggedIn review from Focus on the Family, here.

Here is what a few people are saying about The Lost Medallion.

"As much as I've been encouraged by the growth of the Christian film "industry"over the last several years, it's been obvious that most films have been dramas targeting adults and occasionally teens. I've been silently hoping for an action adventure geared toward tweens. With "The Lost Medallion," I get my wish, while potentially thousands of young people get their very own "Indiana Jones"-ish big screen motion picture to boot. What's more, not only will they be entertained, they'll get a few strong spiritual nuggets to ponder as well."
Bob Waliszewski - Director, Plugged In

"The Lost Medallion was awesome."
Owen and Peter - Fans from Portland, Oregon

"The Lost Medallion is a wholesome movie that will take you back to a more innocent time but will keep you on the edge of your seat. My kids loved it and have watched it again and again. You'll be blessed by The Lost Medallion and I'm guessing that you will still be talking about it with friends and family for a long time after you leave the theater."
Alex Kendrick - Co Producer & Co Director of Courageous, Fireproof & Facing The Giants.
