Heumoore Productions - "Ace Wonder"

www.acewondermovie.com

"HeuMoore Productions is currently preparing for their second feature film project due to begin filming possibly by the end of April. The film is called Ace Wonder, named for the ten-year-old detective character.

At first, John wasn’t very excited about doing a remake, but then he realized how many stylistic changes could be made to the story.  Heartstrings is going to be more of a detective story than The Widow’s Might was a western.

When asked how this film would compare with The Widow’s Might, John said, “Very stylistic!  Very cool! … Really Fun. Our goal with HeuMoore Productions is to be unique and fresh.  I think audiences will be thrilled with [Ace Wonder]. They haven’t seen anything like this before!” The budget will be at least three times that of The Widow’s Might’s $129,000.

The original Heartstrings was completed from start to finish in about thirty days. With such a rush, it deserves to be made over.  Heartstrings takes place before The Widow’s Might, even though it will be made after.  HeuMoore Productions is hoping to have it completed in time for the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival of 2010 deadline.  No word yet about the theatrical or DVD release."

Full Title: Ace Wonder
Tagline: Message from a dead man
Status: Preproduction
Director: John Moore
Production Company: HeuMoore Productions
Filming: Spring 2010

'ONE GOOD MAN' is now...'HERO'!

HERO is about the desperate need for men to return to God’s calling; that they be fathers to their sons.  This is a difficult calling, one that demands commitment, strength, and love—in a word, heroism.  It stems from a humble decision made by a father, but ultimately, it requires God’s strength.  And God is the true hero of this movie.

HERO is currently in post-production. Filmed in Winston-Salem, NC, it is produced by Brightline Pictures and Advent Film Group. It stars Burgess Jenkins (REMEMBER THE TITANS, ARMY WIVES), Gregory Alan Williams (THE PREACHER'S KID, WEST WING), Mark Joy (THE ULTIMATE GIFT), Andrea Powell (THE RUNAWAY JURY)

Writers: Manny Edwards and John Fornof
Director: Manny Edwards
Producers: George Escobar, Michael Snyder, Manny Edwards, and Burgess Jenkins

FILM PIPELINE - Part 2a

Production Phase 1

"If you find yourself continually making major changes throughout late prepro / early production, maybe your film isn’t really ready for production. And if your film isn’t actually ready for production, why is it in production in the first place? If more executives (and producers, directors, etc.) asked themselves this question seriously there would be more quality films coming in on-time and on-budget."

Topics:
- Casting, Wardrobe, Make-Up Tests, Rehearsals, Camera Tests with Talent
-
Crew Casting
- Lock Locations, Build Sets, Get Props
-
Finally, you need to just stop getting ready at some point.

FILM PIPELINE - Part 1

Pre-Production

"Preproduction is the most overlooked, downplayed, and underappreciated part of filmmaking. That’s because it is actually the most essential step in making a film, yet people generally want to skip most or all of it.  Without sufficient preproduction, you’re going into production and postproduction with no real idea of what you’re doing."
